Welcome! I'd really like to know what you would like to find or do on this blog? It is at present a wet lump of clay and in need of shaping. What shape would you suggest it take?
Thanks, Robin. Do you think there are folks who would want to read about my life? Seems kind of depressing most of the time, unless you look for the "overcoming" parts. Where should I start? And how would other people participate in the telling? Hmmm. Maybe I should dig out my years of journals stored - somewhere.
I don't know that it really needs to have a theme or anything. I think maybe whatever is on your mind that day. Or whatever your current struggle is that you might help someone else. Or just even something about what you saw on television last night. Sometimes randomness is what people are looking for. The tricky part is not sharing too much. You are intelligent, interesting, and witty. You have lots to share! Just do it!

Thanks, Amy. I suppose I just don't think my daily life would interest anyone else. But I do have lots of thoughts and opinions. Just don't know who to share them with. I definitely don't want to share too much. I am a very private person. And I know from working with criminals how information in the wrong hands can be very dangerous. Maybe some of that knowledge would interest others, too.
Of course, I want to be read. More importantly I want to interact with those who replay. I hope we can exchange ideas, inspire, encourage. I want to make a positive difference.
I'd love to see it be autobiographical. You have really had quite an extraordinary life so far and I think your story should be told!

ReplyDeleteAh so you are writing to be read rather than writing to write....nothing wrong with that. Just a harder goal to accomplish!
